Shooting for long takes and editing for aspect ratios

This workshop was put on by the University of Lethbridge New Media Society and had two main focuses. Filming for long takes and the different techniques used to effectively achieve this as well as the many considerations that must be taken into account when doing this. The other focus of this workshop was editing for different aspect ratios, why use one format over another, and the many different ways to edit in post to make sure the framing is proper.
Objectives of the workshop
1) To develop the technical skills to work the camera.
2) An understanding of each technical aspect of the camera and how it effects the look of the video.
3) Building a proper workflow for post-production that emphasizes efficiency and creativity.
